St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church embodies the rich musical
heritage of the Lutheran Church.
While upholding traditional musical styles and worship practices, the
church also encourages innovative styles for the worship of our Lord.
The music ministry is shared by two parish musicians, Ken Turner
(Choral Director and Bell Choir Director), and Victor Schaper (Organist
and Instrumental Coordinator). The music ministry includes a Parish
Choir, Bell Choir, Brass Choir, vocal ensembles, vocal soloists and
various instrumentalists.
St. John's Church is fortunate to have three pipe organs and a concert
Steinway piano. The 1986 Moeller Organ (III, 52 ranks) is located in
the rear gallery of the church. A 1932 Moeller Organ is
located in the front of the church. A one manual (keyboard) Hofmann
Organ is located in the chapel.
